We’re Mari and Lucas. Married, partners in life and work. We photograph weddings together and love being close to people — talking, laughing, observing and helping each couple feel at ease enough to live the day in their own way.
Why weddings
Living through our own showed us where we wanted to be.
During our own wedding, we realized how much a day like that holds: the people who matter, the anticipation, the hugs, family, the celebration and everything happening at once.
That was when wedding photography took on a different meaning for us.
Today, this is what we do together: we stay close, help you feel at ease and create beautiful photographs without pulling you away from what is actually happening.
Because to us, a wedding isn’t a performance. It’s presence, feeling, family and life happening for real.
Mari + Lucas
Two ways of seeing the same day.
Mari notices what happens more quietly: the gestures, the details, the people and everything that passes quickly.
Lucas brings movement, conversation and energy, helping you forget there’s a camera nearby.
Together, one completes the other’s perspective. And that’s how we photograph every wedding: always the two of us.
Our approach
Spontaneous, with just the right amount of direction.
We guide without making things feel stiff. We talk, give direction, suggest movement and know when to let things happen.
The idea is for you to feel at ease, live your wedding and still feel like yourselves in the photographs.
In the end, what we want most is for you to enjoy the whole celebration and, when you receive the photographs, recognize yourselves in them.

Home for now. It’s where we live and work, and where we set out from to photograph weddings across Brazil and beyond.

Italy is already part of our story through Lucas’s family, and in 2028 it becomes home. Until then, we’re already available to photograph weddings there and in other destinations.

One date. One wedding. Always the two of us.
When you choose Os Tartari’s, you choose Mari and Lucas. We don’t work with parallel teams and we don’t photograph two weddings on the same day. That date is reserved for one story only — yours.
